Can I obtain a fixed quote, and how long is it valid for?

Definitely, we are more than happy to provide you with a fixed moving cost quote.  You can obtain this by calling us (1300 400 874) or by completing the Quick Quote Form, and we will contact you very shortly to either finalise the quote with you or arrange to send an inspector to your home/office.  The inspector will then closely assess your move and provide a fixed quote for you.  Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Does Optimove provide after-hours or weekend removals?

Yes, we work 24/7, 365 days a year – including public holidays!  In fact, most of our local moves are done on the weekend.  We also do most of our office moves after business/s hours during the week and over the weekend.  When we move your goods is totally up to you, but get in quick before we are booked out…

How can I get hold of Optimove out of hours?

You will be assigned a team leader who will manage your move and be in constant contact with you.  You will also be given the team leader’s mobile phone number so that, if you wish, you can call him/her directly. Emails and Voicemails are checked hourly, so If you require a response from the office administration, your best bet is to email – Someone is always watching the email.

Can I get Optimove to disassemble and reassemble items for me?

Yes certainly, you need to specify which items and our team will arrange it for you on the day of your move so that you don’t have to spend your last night in your house on a mattress on the floor!  If you will do the packing yourself, we can still do this for you; you need to let the Communication Consultant know when you obtain your quote.  If you use our services hourly, this will be part of the job done for you.

Will I receive Premium boxes from Optimove?

For local Brisbane and Gold Coast moves, as well as interstate moves, we provide Premium boxes.

What is the catch?  Does Optimove really provide red carpet service at a value-for-money rate?

The catch is that we do not price match, we are not super cheap (or super nasty), and we can offer superior service at a great value for money simply because we do not engage in the cutthroat discount pricing that eats away at profit margins and, thus, service levels.  We stick to our pricing and rates, which provide us with a reasonable profit margin, allow our business to function smoothly, and thus enable us to deliver the services we promise at the rate we promise.

Do your interstate moves seem much quicker than other furniture removalists?  Why is this so?

Well, the major reason is that we do not waste time by double-handling your goods, loading them onto a removal truck, then loading them onto a goods train, and then doing the same double-handling again at the destination.  While this is seemingly a cost-saving (because goods train rates are lower), it is not something we believe is in the customer’s interests.  What is saved by using a goods train is made up for by other costs (such as the double handling), and at the end of the day, it just means a slower move for you and a far greater risk of damage.  We stick to the road and deliver your goods in super quick time.

Do you do local moves in other areas besides Brisbane and the Gold Coast?

At the moment we do local moves only around these two cities.  We will shortly be offering a local moving service for those living on the Sunshine Coast. 

Will my goods be insured whilst they are being removed?

All goods moved by us are covered by public liability and goods in transit insurance.  Premium Interstate Moves have further protection with comprehensive insurance.

How do you handle precious and delicate items?

We will take extra special care of your treasured items, whether these are of monetary or just sentimental value.  When packing for you, these items will be wrapped and padded in industrial-strength bubble wrap.  Then, depending on the item’s size, it will be wrapped in felt blankets before being securely strapped and supported in the truck – or else it will be placed in a well-padded, clearly labelled sturdy box.
