How do I request a quote, and what information do you need?

Request a quote using our Quick Quote Form or call 1300 400 874.

We’ll ask for:

  • Pickup and destination addresses
  • Home size (bedrooms or item list)
  • Heavy or fragile items (pianos, safes, antiques)
  • Access details (stairs, lift, driveway width)
  • Services needed (packing, storage, etc.)
  • Preferred moving dates

We may arrange a video or on-site inspection to ensure an accurate, fixed quote.
All quotes are valid for 30 days and fully itemised, no hidden costs, ever.

  • Distance and travel time

Every quote is transparent and itemised. You’ll always know what you’re paying for.

Are there any extra or hidden fees?

We never hide costs. Possible additional charges (all shown in your quote) include:

Waiting time due to delays

Weekend or public holiday surcharges

Third or more removalists

Credit card processing fees (if applicable)

What happens on moving day?

Pre-move: Booking confirmed, access and permits checked.

Arrival: Crew walks through the property with you.

Protection: Walls, floors, and furniture wrapped and covered.

Loading: Items carefully loaded and secured.

Transit: GPS-tracked transport with real-time updates.

Unloading: Items unpacked, reassembled, and positioned.

Sign-off: You inspect and confirm completion before payment.

Is my property insured during the move?

Yes. All jobs include public liability and transit coverage for damage caused by our team.
For full protection, choose our optional comprehinsive insurance for valuables.

If you need to make a claim:

Report within 24 hours with photos.

We assess promptly.

Approved claims are repaired or compensated.

We believe in fair and transparent resolution.

How should I prepare for my move?

Declutter early to save time.

Label boxes by room (e.g. “Kitchen”, “Fragile”).

Disassemble furniture if possible.

Clear walkways and driveways.

Reserve parking or lift access in advance.

Photograph high-value items.

Do you move fragile or specialty items (pianos, marble tables, safes)

How do you handle interstate or regional moves?

We operate nationwide across Queensland, NSW, and Victoria.
For interstate jobs, we provide fixed-price quotes including tolls and fuel.
Remote areas may incur extra travel costs, disclosed upfront.

What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

  • Free rescheduling up to 7 days before your booking.
  • Cancellations within 7 days may forfeit the deposit.
  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

How soon should I book?

Book 2–4 weeks ahead for best availability.
For urgent or same-day moves, call us; we’ll do our best to assist.

What payment methods do you accept?

Deposits confirm your booking; the balance is due on completion.
Every move comes with an itemised invoice and receipt.

How do you protect my property?

We use:

What if something is lost or damaged?

My partner and I have just used Optimove removals for a double move – stuff out of my house to storage whilst another truck at his place to bring his furniture and belongings to here and more to storage. We went with them based on price and a promise of ‘great care’

The removalist service has been fantastic.
